Kooks Headers & Exhaust offers a limited lifetime warranty, covering material and workmanship, to the original purchaser for the original vehicle on which the product was installed. Kooks products installed on competition applications or made with mild steel will carry a 1-year limited warranty also covering material and workmanship. Discontinued/Obsolete Parts will not be covered, but can be sent in for an estimate on repair.
This warranty shall apply only if Kooks identifies a material or workmanship defect on the examined product, at which time Kooks will repair or replace the product. Kooks is not responsible for any loss, inconvenience, personal injury, or damage including, but not limited to, towing, installation or removal costs, shop fees, or other expenses. Kooks liability is expressly limited to the amount paid at the time of purchase for the product received.
Customers are responsible for inspecting parts upon delivery, and Kooks Warranty Registration must be completed upon receipt of the product to receive warranty coverage. Failure to file Warranty Registration will void Kooks warranty terms within 30 days of receiving your product. Kooks will not warranty any product that has been damaged due to collision, misuse, off-road use, improper installation, removal, or modification, i.e. cut, welded, wrapped, etc. Kooks warranty does not cover naturally occurring rust through or corrosion due to exposure to chemicals or salt. This warranty does not cover material fatigue cause by heat, excessive vibration, rich or lean operating conditions, the use of 2-step launch control, or other aftermarket modifications not available from the OEM manufacturer.
Ceramic coating does not void Kooks warranty, however the coating is not covered. Any issues with delivered products (i.e. damaged parts, missing components, etc.) must be reported within 30 days of product receipt.
Kooks does not guarantee any specific sound or performance gains after the installation of our products. Unless otherwise stated Kooks cannot 100% guarantee proper fitment when our products are used in conjunction with another aftermarket manufacturers product. Due to a variety of factors, Kooks strongly recommends that all customer vehicles are Dyno tuned after the installation of our long-tube header systems. Kooks Mufflers
Kooks Headers & Exhaust Mufflers come with a 5-year limited replacement warranty. The muffler in question would need to be assigned an RMA number and will be subject to the same warranty policy outlined above. If Kooks determines that the failure was caused by impact damage, the claim will be denied. If Kooks determines that there was a manufacturing defect, the muffler will be repaired or replaced and shipped back to the customer at no charge. If Kooks finds neither impact damage or manufacturing defects on the muffler in question, we can offer a replacement muffler at a discounted rate.
Catalytic Converters
Kooks high-flow performance race catalytic converters are designed for use on naturally aspirated vehicles only. Vehicles equipped with forced induction, including supercharged or turbocharged applications, must use Kooks GREEN Catalytic Converters to qualify for applicable Kooks catalytic converter warranty coverage. Kooks also strongly recommends upgrading to GREEN Cats on any vehicle producing more than 550 rear-wheel horsepower (RWHP), regardless of whether the vehicle is naturally aspirated or forced induction. Use of a high-flow performance race catalytic converter in an application outside of these recommendations may result in accelerated converter wear or failure and may affect warranty eligibility.

Construction & Materials Defect Warranty
5 years or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first
This warranty covers manufacturing-related defects affecting:

Overall structural integrity: Converter housing, welds, and inlet/outlet connections are covered against cracking, separation, or breakage under normal operating conditions.

Internal substrate durability: The internal substrate/core is warranted to remain intact and properly secured within the converter housing without breaking apart, separating, or shifting due to a manufacturing defect.
Emissions Performance Warranty
2 years or 25,000 miles, whichever occurs first
This warranty covers:

Failure of the catalytic converter to meet applicable emissions-performance requirements when properly installed and operated under normal conditions.
Warranty Eligibility & Inspection
This warranty applies only to catalytic converters installed in qualifying federally certified, non-CARB applications that meet applicable EPA requirements for catalytic converter replacement. All warranty claims are subject to inspection and approval by Kooks Headers & Exhaust. The catalytic converter must be returned to Kooks for evaluation in accordance with the applicable RMA procedure. If Kooks determines that the catalytic converter failed due to a covered manufacturing defect, the affected part will be replaced and shipped back to the customer at no charge. If Kooks determines that the failure was caused by circumstances unrelated to a manufacturing defect or otherwise falls outside the applicable warranty coverage, Kooks may, at its discretion, offer the customer a replacement catalytic converter at a discounted rate.
Unauthorized Vendors
Kooks products purchased through any unauthorized vendors (including but not limited to Amazon, Ebay, etc.) will not be eligible for return or warranty claims.
Warranty Claims
Customers with a warranty claim must contact Kooks Headers & Exhaust directly and provide proof of purchase or the original order number.
As of September 22, 2025, the official Kooks Warranty Form must be completed in order for a product to qualify for free warranty replacement or repair.
Kooks will cover ground shipping to and from the customer for any approved warranty claim within 30 days of the customer’s original receipt of the product. After 30 days, the customer is responsible for shipping the product to Kooks. If Kooks determines that the product defect is covered under warranty, Kooks will cover return shipping; otherwise, return freight charges will be billed to the customer.
Expedited shipping options are available at the customers expense.
RED Membership Warranty Shipping Benefit
Customers with an active Kooks RED Membership that includes the Free Shipping perk may receive free shipping to and from Kooks for eligible warranty claims. To qualify, the membership must be active at the time the warranty claim is submitted and approved.
This benefit applies only to warranty-related shipments authorized through Kooks and does not guarantee warranty approval. All warranty claims remain subject to Kooks’ standard warranty review process, terms, and eligibility requirements. Free shipping coverage applies only after Kooks has issued return instructions or authorization for the claim.
