I understand that it is illegal to install an aftermarket part that is intended for use with, or as part of, a required motor vehicle pollution control device or system that alters or modifies the original design or performance of the motor vehicle pollution control I device or system unless the vehicle on which the part is installed is a competition vehicle. A competition vehicle may never be used, or registered or licensed for use, on a public road or highway.
I understand that a part or parts in my order are designed only for, and intended for use only with, competition vehicles. I certify that the part will be installed only on the vehicle described above. I certify that the vehicle is a competition vehicle and that the vehicle is not registered or licensed for use on a public road or highway.
I understand that installing a part or parts in my order on a vehicle registered or licensed for use on a public road or highway constitutes a violation of the Clean Air Act. I understand that such a violation may subject me to personal civil or criminal liability, including fines of up to $4,819 per day.
